Make Healthy Eating A New Year Resolution

Three years ago, we initiated efforts to spread awareness on the importance of a healthy and balanced diet. It started with changes to our menu. By adding healthier dishes and giving them a spotlight the specials board, we were encouraging customers to consider their food choices wisely.

Some dishes that were added between 2006 and 2009:

Steamed vegetable dumplings
Chicken rice bowl with brown rice and organic salad
Fresh shredded crab meat, shredded carrots and silken tofu in a light chicken broth gravy

We also reminded customers that we've ALWAYS had healthy choices on the menu. Some of them include:

Fresh spinach sauteed with garlic
Fresh tilapia steamed with ginger and scallions

Changing your eating habits can be a challenge, but once you're aware of the healthy and tasty choices out there, it makes it that much simpler. You don't have to order the decadent dishes every time you eat out. It's there on the menu and not going anywhere. Save those for a special occasion. We're here to help.  But if you want to stick to your favorite dishes, tell us you want it cooked with less oil, salt or MSG. You can also opt for steamed versions with the sauce on the side.

Here's to a year of healthy eating!
